Planet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Mercury

Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Jesus

The Sun is in 28 Cancer (in my 11th house): A judge, peering over the scales of justice, listens to a father's version of what his teenage son did. Afterwards, he encourages the father and son to speak directly to each other. (Symbol for 29 Cancer from Martin Goldsmith, The Zodiac by Degrees, 2nd ed.)

The Moon is in the 1st decan of Libra (in my 1st house): spiritual awakening; desire to merge with God. (Keywords from Martin Goldsmith, Moon Phases: A Symbolic Key)

The Sun and Moon are in their 5th phase (the Moon is between 60 and 70 degrees ahead of the Sun): The Romantic. A flower peddler standing by a stone archway. Smiling through tears, she offers a bouquet of roses to a passerby. A mature, attractive woman, she has curly hair, and an ample figure. At her side is a child of about eight years old. (Symbol from Goldsmith, Moon Phases)

In the morning, the Moon will enter my 2nd house. In the afternoon, Mars will enter my 11th house.

Rosen during the past day. I nearly drifted off several times. I hadn't been in a while. The sense of "things coming up" as part of a potential healing process, which I experienced spontaneously during Ramadan, arose again, this time with the sense that some energies related to shame and insecurity were rising gently to the surface, being witnessed (by the Rosen worker as as well as by me), and were gently flowing through and away in a fluid manner. She reported feeling a noticeable amount of heat rising from my upper back and shoulders during the session.

The Sufi reading group has been focusing on the Divine Name al-Barr. One morning, before I took a walk (on which I usually recite the Divine Names if I am alone), I received a link to the following YouTube video in my email:

After I recited Ya Barr 100x on my walk, I sensed an energy coming together that I have previously associated with Kali. One association with al-Barr that was explored in the Sufi reading group was the sense of a synthesis or fusing of opposites. What I experienced had that feeling to it. The author who is promoting his recent text through the video is a gay man, former Catholic, and supposedly ordained Kali priest. His twitter account shows that he is also a Rand Paul fan (yuck), although he "puts out there" the wish that Rand will "find it within his heart" to openly support GLBT people. (Don't hold your breath, I say.) He has produced a version of the Devi Mahatmya (the main Kali scripture), which I have read in a couple of versions but haven't connected with deeply. He also has a book of the 360 degrees of the zodiac, keyed to specific passages in the Devi Mahatmya. It seems like an interesting project, but I'm not sure if it is something worth looking into.

Peace,

KH

I might do a short session of reciting al Barr based on what you shared. thank you. over ramazan I was also very much experiencing a movement of subtle power around both shame and insecurity. the two very much go together, I guess, more than I had realized. its interesting to see that confirmed in your experience.

oh and btw, I am trying to find a bosnian music video you shared some time ago that I also shared on my wall. Do you know the name of it? It had a man singing and sometimes tracing shapes in light at the same time.
