Planet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Mars

Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Aaron & John

Lunar phase: Disseminating Moon - Demonstration (Phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)

The Sun is in 11 Leo (in my 11th house): Elves and hobgoblins dance under the trees by the light of the half-moon. Picking up some glowing lanterns, they set forth to cause mischief and consernation among the humans. (Symbol for 12 Leo from Martin Goldsmith, The Zodiac by Degrees, 2nd ed.) An evening party of adults on a lawn illuminated by fancy lanterns. (Symbol for 12 Leo from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)

In the afternoon, the Moon will enter my 8th house.

During the past day, I finished the astrological analysis for my next solar return. Now I have something I can refer to as the year unfolds.

A couple of themes that emerged from that analysis have already found their way into my reflections here, such as some possible changes or disruptions in spiritual matters (Uranus in the 9th house of the solar return chart) and an awareness of movement of "tantric" energies (Neptune in the 8th house of the solar return chart). In some respects, I feel as if I am revisiting some places where I was in 2003-04 when, after having met X and having met Amma, I was hopeful that there might be opportunities to activate and harmonize the Hindu aspects of Lex Hixon's teachings with the Sufism with which I identified (as an NAJ dervish). As things progressed, I ended up in an interpersonal crisis with X and made the decision to pursue the Amma path "full time," hoping (I suppose) that by immersing myself in that atmosphere, I might find clues and tools to help me deal with the kinds of energies that were demanding my attention while spending time with X. In effect, it seems as if I may have been taking a temporary ride within the quasi-psychotic whirlwind that he uses to distract himself from the unresolved issues in his life.

So now, for the first time in a number of years, I am participating in zikr once again and I am beginning once again to find Hixon's Divine Mother poems to be useful. I am also reaquainting myself with some of the Kali texts and audio files that I have collected over the years.

Peace,

KH
