Planet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Moon

Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Adam

Lunar phase: Crescent - Expansion (Phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)

The Sun is in 25 Aquarius (in my 6th house): A garage man testing a car's battery with a hydrometer. (Symbol for 26 Aquarius from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)

Overnight, the Moon will enter its First Quarter phase, whose keyword is Action. In the morning, the Moon will enter Gemini (in my 9th house).

Yesterday evening didn't go quite as planned. A few minutes before magrib (akšam), my right rear tire blew out on the highway. We had to pull over. The temperare was near-record low and the wind was biting. We tried to jack up the car and change the tire ourselves, but our lack of experience and the harshness of the weather led us to call AAA for help instead. Fortunately I had thought ahead to fill the tank before the cold weather hit, so we had plenty of gas to keep the car running and stay warm in the car. Unfortunately, however, I didn't have the lug nut key in the car so, when a serviceman reached us, he was unable to change the tire. Plan B was to have the car towed, so that's what we ended up doing. A second serviceman had to be sent out with a tow truck. He was young (in his mid-20s) and a character. That helped to make a stressful situation a little less so. We elected to have him tow the car to our home. Once we got home, I was able to retrieve the lug nut key from the place I had stored it 7 years ago when I bought the car. The tow truck driver offered to use his equipment to change the tire for me. (Even though our misfortune occurred several hours before the Sun entered 25 Aquarius, it is nonetheless interesting to note the coincidence between the current Sabian symbol [cited above] and our situation last night.)

After that adventure, we had a quiet dinner and went to bed. So much for a Valentine's Day weekend dinner and concert in New Haven. Oh, well, some other time.

I recently found out that Armin Muzaferija will be performing in New York. Today the venue was posted. He will be performing at the Chian Federation in Astoria, sponsored by the local Bosnian Islamic Center. I just learned today that there was an infamous massacre on the island of Chios by Ottoman troops in 1822, during the Greek War of Independence. I'm thinking of going to the performance.

Peace,

KH
