Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Abraham

The Sun is in 0 Gemini (in my 9th house): A glass-bottomed boat reveals undersea wonders. (Symbol for 1 Gemini from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)

In the morning, the Moon will transit my natal Venus (in my 3rd house). In the afternoon, the Moon will enter Sagittarius (in my 3rd house). Later in the afternoon, the Moon will enter its Full Moon phase, whose keyword is Fulfillment. (The Moon will be 1 Sagittarius in my 3rd house and the Sun will be at 1 Gemini in my 9th house.)

Worked at home and went grocery shopping with my husband this past day. As I was bagging our groceries in one of the self-check aisles I noticed an advertising display for our pet sitter. We took a couple of minutes to look at the photographs of the animals that she had mounted on a trifold. That seemed to put us in a better mood. As we were on our way out of the grocery store, I noticed that I was feeling a bit of a spiritual high. I remarked that it reminded me of when we would shop at the grocery store in the plaza near where the Amma programs were being held.

In general, I've been going into slight spiritual highs lately. I'm not sure if it part of preparation for Ramadan, or may have something to do with the fact that I've started reading the daily Ibn 'Arabi prayers again, or what.

This past day I also enjoyed reading Peter Garland's travel journal about the time he spent in New Zealand, where he composed the piece of his that I've been studying. I read of his visit to Hirahuara (Jerusalem), the site of a mission, of battles by the Maori people against the intrusion into their territory of white settlers, and of a late 1960s-1970s hippy commune led by New Zealand poety James Baxter. I'm glad that Garland shared this piece of music with me and wants me to perform it. It is unpublished and was one of the pieces that he used to play in his rare public performances. As I learn more about the background to it, I can see why it holds a special place for him.

Peace,

KH
