Early this morning the Moon entered its 20th mansion, The Water, whose letter is س and whose Divine Name is The Life-Giver (#60 of the Asma ul-Husna), الْمُحْيِ.
Today I worked on my application for sabbatical for next year and brought it to a form that I was willing to sign.
I went to therapy and discussed discontinuing. I may have already mentioned this here, but at the end of the last session she asked if I wanted to come back in two weeks, and the question got me to thinking about where I have come so far and of other ways in which I might want to invest my time at this point. We had a good conversation and talked a little bit more about digging up dirt on spiritual teachers, etc.
Then I went to campus, where my colleagues and I interviewed a prospective grad student. We concurred that she is probably not ready for our program. We talked about a number of things, including my advisee who is currently working on her dissertation. I got some positive feedback about my assessment of her proposal, which is passible even if not very original.
When my husband came home he told me that his eye doctor said that he needs a CT scan, since his vision has changed since the last appointment and there is no obvious cause that is observable through normal means. He will go for the scan tomorrow. Hopefully it is nothing serious.
