Also late this evening, the Moon will enter its 13th mansion, The Third Sky, Sky of Mars and House of Aaron, whose letter is ل and whose Divine Name is The Victorious (#15 of the Asma ul-husna), الْقَهَّارُ.
I'm about to resume grading the homework assignments from yesterday. I'm making a list of the issues that were handled improperly in a number of the assignments and I plan to present that in class tomorrow, along with reminders of when those issues were introduced in the course, when the students had homework assignments and quizzes on them, and the fact that they are responsible for knowing that material. That should go over well.
The Indiana situation is getting a lot of attention. I'm losing track now of the list of states who have recently passed--or who have been considering--similar legislation: Arkansas, Georgia (effort abandoned, for now anyway), North Carolina, Virginia. Evidently there was some federal legislation back in the 90s and several states (including Connecticut) passed laws then as well, but there are claims that the current effort is something different.
Meanwhile, anti-austerity protests continue in Montreal.
Well, I'll be going for Rosen today for the first time in 4 weeks. I'm going to try to fit in aerobics this morning before I go, as I am feeling pretty tight and agitated, and will likely get more out of Rosen if I at least manage to stretch and move things around a bit first.
