Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Idris (Enoch)
The Sun is in 12 Cancer (in my 10th house): Approaching a stranded foreign steamer, a tugboat captain sounds his horn, and holds up his hand in a gesture of goodwill. (Symbol for 13 Cancer from Martin Goldsmith, The Zodiac by Degrees, 2nd ed.)
Earlier, the Moon passed through the 2nd decan of Aquarius (moving from my 5th house to my 6th house): meditation; self-recollection. Currently, the Moon is in the 3rd decan of Aquarius (in my 6th house): indestructibility of the life force; transformation. (Keywords from Martin Goldsmith, Moon Phases: A Symbolic Key)
The Sun and Moon are in their 16th phase: The Procession (Moon is 150 to 140 degrees behind Sun). Image: In a windswept mountain pass, a huge, seated figure is being pulled over rolling logs by horses and crowds of straining men. The queen watches the distant specable from the royal rose garden. (Symbol from Goldsmith, Moon Phases)
In the morning, the Moon will enter Pisces in my 6th house. In the afternoon, it will transit my natal Jupiter (also in my 6th house).
I didn't write about Friday, other than to cite the astrological symbols associated with it. I went to jum'ah and spent time with my husband, who had the day off from work.
This past day (Saturday), he went to visit a French-American friend and his teenage nephew, who is visitng from France. I stayed home in order to complete my fast. During the last portion of the fast, I decided to watch a Netflix film that I had had hanging around since last August: Waltz with Bashir.
Last August, when my father last visited, I invited him to watch it with me. He refused. My husband also refused to watch it with me. Since my cat died late last August, I seem to have had a block on watching films. Perhaps that is because the TV is located in the basement, where she spent the last few days of her life. On the other hand, that hasn't stopped me from exercising down there or from practicing the piano, which is also down there. In any event, I finally overcame my block about watching the film. It was good. There is a haunting quality to the imagery that will probably stay with me for a while.
