Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Joseph
The Sun is in 17 Cancer (in my 10th house): Mother Goose holds a birthday party for one of her children, who sits next to her at the head of the table, wearing thick, heavy-rimmed glasses. (Symbol for 18 Cancer from Martin Goldsmith, The Zodiac by Degrees, 2nd ed.)
The Moon has passed through the 3rd decan of Aries (in my 8th house): refined analysis of soceity and culture, using both logic and intuition. It is currently in the 1st decan of Taurus (in my 8th house): emotional outreach; willingness to risk pain for love. (Keywords from Martin Goldsmith, Moon Phases: A Symbolic Key)
The Sun and Moon are still in their 22nd phase (the Moon is 90 to 60 degrees behind the Sun): The Carnival. A Chinese sage walks calmly through a fairground. He passes a brightly lit ferris wheel, a hoochy-coochy dancer, and a fakir walking down a winding path of hot coals. (Symbols from Goldsmith, Moon Phases)
In the late morning, the Moon will enter my 9th house.
I plan to go to jum'ah again tomorrow (it is still Thursday, until Maghrib/Akšam. On Saturday there will be a commemoration of Srebrenica. A youth group will march, there will be a presentation at a school near the mosque, and then there will be an iftar. I'm planning to attend some of that.
