Planet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Mercury

Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Jesus

The Sun is in 22 Cancer (in my 11th house): At a friendly gathering at an outdoor café, a rambunctious, attractive girl holds forth on a topic of general interest, but is basically trying to impress one of the men at the table. (Symbol for 23 Cancer from Martin Goldsmith, The Zodiac by Degrees, 2nd ed.)

The Moon is now in the 1st decan of Cancer (in my 10th house): attunement to the rhythm and flow of life; finding one's subjective center. (Keywords from Martin Goldsmith, Moon Phases: A Symbolic Key)

The Sun and Moon are in their 27th phase (the Moon is between 20 and 10 degrees behind the Sun): The Saint. A beatiful woman is seated by a spring surrounded by forget-me-nots. At her side is a large open book. A heron stands in front of her on one leg and contemplates the large egg in its nest. (Symbols from Goldsmith, Moon Phases)

In the afternoon, the Moon will enter my 11th house.

While I was on FB today, I saw on the sidebar that the sufis I have been spending time with are also affiliated with a Progressive Muslims group. I clicked on the link and saw that the people who had attended the reading group at the end of June are also in that group. One of them is a fairly well known trans activist. I have applied to join the group. Perhaps this will be a way for me to spend some time with other queer Muslims.

Its very good news that there is overlap between the dervishes you are spending time with and the progressive muslim crowd. Finding that overlap that easily is something particular to north america, I think.

May the last sacred days of Ramazan be a blessing to you and may you have a lovely Eid as well. Bayramın mübarek olsun.
