Hu design

Nedjelja, 29 Zu-l-ka'de, 1436

Planet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Sun

Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Idris (Enoch)

Lunar phase: Balsamic - Release (Phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)

The Sun is in 19 Virgo (in my 1st house): A caravan of cars headed to the West Coast. (Symbol for 20 Virgo from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)

The Moon crossed my Ascendant and entered my 1st house about 45 minutes ago. Overnight, the Moon will enter its New Moon phase, forming a solar eclipse in my 1st house. The keyword for the New Moon, from Rudhyar's The Lunation Cycle, is Emergence.

My husband had friends from his former workplace over this past afternoon. I cooked on the grill and socialized for a while, but I spent the rest of my time in my room working on course prep. After the guests left, I practiced the piano for a while.

I didn't mention this in my previous post, but Shaykha Fariha posted a Blue Post on FB on Friday. It had to do with Qur'anic interpretation vis-à-vis extremist groups, as well as in general. It reinforced that I still resonate to aspects of what NAJ is about, particularly the legacy of Nur and his writings. As I have indicated here previously, I have a tendency to withdraw a bit from people in other spiritual groups (or even some in NAJ) when it becomes evident that they don't "get" what Nur is about (at least in the way that I feel that I "get" it). Although I don't see myself reconnecting with NAJ through attending zikr in NYC with anything like any kind of regularity, it does seem to me that I don't see myself pursuing Qadiri-Rifa'i much further at this point, either.
