Hu design

Četvrtak 19 Ša'ban 1437

Planet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Jupiter

Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Moses

The Sun is in 5 Gemini (in my 9th house): Workmen drilling for oil. (Symbol for 6 Gemini from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)

The Moon is at 23Cap14 (in my 5th house). Lunar mansion (according to Ibn 'Arabi): 23, The Vegetables, letter Thā, The Nourisher (Ar-Razzāq)

Lunar phase: Full Moon - Fulfillment (Phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)

In the morning, te Moon will enter Aquarius (in my 5th house). In the late afternoon, the Moon will transit my natal South Node (in my 5th house). About 10 minutes before akšam (magrib), the Moon will transit my natal Saturn (in my 5th house).

Worked at home this past day. Anticipating the possibility of attending part of the NAJ zikr after the Bosnian film festival on Thursday (by then, the eve of Friday), I emailed Shaykha Fariha in order to reintroduce myself to her and to catch her up on some of what I've been up to in the last several years.

It has been 12 years since I have been to a NAJ zikr. In reflecting on that time period, it occurred to me that 12 years is a Jupiter cycle. Naturally, I examined where transiting Jupiter is in relation to my natal chart. It is in the 12th house and will cross my Ascendant (into the 1st house) during the first week of Ramadan. I also discovered that the North Node of the Moon will cross my Ascendant (from the 1st house into the 12th, since the Nodes generally move in retrograde motion) within the last portion of Ramadan. Generally, the North Node is taken to represent new growth, while the South Node is taken to represent the tried and familiar, old karmic patterns, etc. With the imminence of these transits, it makes sense why I was able to have a few laughs with the dervishes in Massachusetts this past weekend about our respective journeys along the spiritual path: Jupiter being the "jovial" planet and also the primary symbol for religion and spirituality. Reflection on the past is typical of the 12th house. I have felt a subtle but palpable shift toward lightening up about my experience of the spiritual path, and a renewed openness to future directions along it. I would like to reinforce the attitude of openness and forward motion, but realize that there may still be obstacles and setbacks to deal with as I continue to try to let go of what is no longer useful from the past. In looking back at prior times when Jupiter has crossed my Ascendant, significant events include meeting Javad Nurbakhsh (and receiving initiation from him) and receiving initiation from Amma (a year after meeting her).
