At about an hour before sabah (fedžr), the Moon will enter my 2nd house.

This past day I went through my computer files on astrology and determined that, since 2007, I have enrolled in 10 different astrology courses (not counting single lectures or one-day workshops), and have completed 4 of them, and completed all but the last lesson on a 5th course. Along the way, I discovered my compatibility (or not) with different approaches and instructors. I do not regard this as a record of success, and I still feel far from confident in my ability to read a chart usefully, but it does underline for me my persistence in trying to develop my abilities in this area. Having begun my most recent course, I find that I'm beginning it with the hope that the fragmentary and conflicted way in which I have studied in the past has not been entirely for nought. It also feels really good to review books that I have read in the past. I am trying to take a long view on this, in which my interest in studying astrology started to take hold about 15 years ago (half of a Saturn cycle) and then--tentatively--began to take on more shape as soon as I received tenure. It seems that I felt somewhat conflicted and guilty about investing my effort in astrology while I had such an important career goal demanding my attention. Having achieved that goal, it seems that I realized that I had been neglecting other aspects of myself and began to reach out to try to do something about that.

Demands from school have started to pile up via email, and I find that this has led to my feeling angry and put-upon. It is also the case that I exercised before making dinner, and this may have helped my feelings to circulate more vividly. My first class meetings will happen in the morning.
