Around 20 minutes after zora (fedžr), the Moon entered its Balsamic phase, whose keyword is Release. (The Moon was at 22Gem36 in my 10th house and the Sun was at 7Leo36 in my 11th house.) This afternoon, Mercury will enter Virgo (in my 12th house). Later in the afternoon, the Moon will enter Cancer (in my 10th house).
I am writing later than usual today. This past evening I was in a different part of the state, having dinner with a former student and his father and the father's (female) partner. When I got home, I didn't do much besides get ready for bed, pray, and meditate.
This morning I was awakened by an unusual sound and the sight of a bat flying around the bedroom. I woke my husband up and we left the bedroom and closed the door behind us. I checked the bedroom periodically and it continued to fly for a while. I looked around online for suggestions as to how to deal with it, and left voice mail at a few different numbers. As it got lighter, the bat found a hiding place and became dormant. We inspected the room and were able to retrieve some clothes to wear. I began to get some callbacks, some more useful than others. Someone is supposed to come over this afternoon to do an inspection of the house. In the meantime, my husband found the bat. It was hanging from a sheer curtain that was draped over some window blinds, near the top of the window. Following instructions from one of the men I had spoken to, I was able to open the upper portion of the window and then gently prod the sheer curtain with a broom until the bat flew out the window. We still need to have the house inspected, as this is the second bat we have had in the house in 2 years. That time, it got into the main living area and landed on the couch, where one of our cats made a lunge for it. We found it on the floor in the morning, still alive, scooped it into a dustpan, and put it out of the window. That one may have been injured by the cat. We brought the cats for rabies boosters and had a full rabies series ourselves. I'll wait to talk to the bat removal person this afternoon before concerning myself with rabies boosters this time.
My astrological project is almost complete. It is taking a little longer than I expected. I did figure out, however, how to create calendar entries for astrological events related to my natal and solar return charts and import them into Google calendar. This should be more useful than the printouts that I used to make and then consult periodically.
