Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Jesus
The Sun is in 19 Taurus (in my 9th house): Wisps of winglike clouds streaming across the sky. (Symbol for 20 Taurus from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)
The Moon is at 9Sco46 (in my 2nd house). Lunar mansion (according to Ibn 'Arabi): 18, Sphere of the Ether and the Meteors, Center of Fire, letter Tā, The Seizer (Al-Qābiḍ)
Lunar phase: Gibbous - Overcoming (phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)
About 3 hours ago, the Moon transited my natal Sun (in my 2nd house). In about 3 hours, the Moon will enter my 3rd house. Overnight, the Moon will transit my natal Neptune. In the late afternoon, the Moon will enter its Full Moon phase, whose keyword is Fulfillment. (The Moon will be at 20Sco24 in my 3rd house and the Sun will be at 20Tau24 in my 9th house.)
Once again, it has been a busy week. Since I last wrote, I completed reading the last of the three dissertations whose committees I was on this past semester. I also administered two final exams, graded them, and posted grades. I attended the hooding ceremony for the graduate students in my school, then headed up to the Boston area to attend an Eagle Scout ceremony for my husband's nephew. Since returning home I have been writing the syllabus and updating the assignments and tests for one of my courses for the fall.
In music news, Peter Garland's new CD came out. I heard two out of the three pieces on this disc live last summer during Ramadan. I was able to travel to New York, hear the afternoon concert, meet the composer and the performer (Aki Takahashi), and return home in time to break fast. Later this week I travel to New York to hear some music by John Luther Adams.
