Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Moses
The Sun is in 4 Gemini (in my 9th house): A revolutionary magazine asking for action. (Symbol for 5 Gemini from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)
The Moon is at 28Tau45 (in my 9th house). Lunar mansion (according to Ibn 'Arabi): the Moon has passed through mansion 4, Al-jawhar-al-habâï, The materia prima, letter Ḥā, The Last (Al-’Ākhir), and is now in mansion 5, The Universal Body, letter Ghayn, The Manifest (Aẓ-Ẓāhir)
Lunar phase: Balsamic - Release (phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)
In about 2 hours, the Moon will enter Gemini (in my 9th house). In the afternoon, the Moon will enter its New Moon phase, whose keyword is Emergence. (The Moon and sun will be at 4Gem46 in my 9th house).
I went to bed early last evening without writing first.
Yesterday was the first day off contract for the summer. I did some preparation for a course I will be teaching in the fall, did a bit of practicing at the piano (not enough, of course: never enough), and went to see my financial adviser. Did a bit of work with Bosnian and Arabic. (I have finally broken into Chapter 8 of Thackston's An Introduction to Koranic and Classical Arabic. I had been over the first several chapters a few times and then had lost the thread of it because of interruptions. Perhaps this time I will complete the book.)
I have also been calculating the timing of several astrological cycles over my lifetime and noting significant events that have occurred as I can remember them. The cycles I am using are Rudhyar's progressed Ascendant (which he calls the Point of Self), transiting Saturn, and progressed Moon. I find it interesting that the Moon's transits of its mansions coincide with the Sun's transits of the degrees of the zodiac, while the progressed Moon moves at about the same the rate as transiting Saturn. In traditional astrology, of course, Saturn signified the outer limit of the planetary system.
