Prophet of the day (according to Ibn 'Arabi): Joseph
The Sun is in 29 Sagittarius (in my 4th house): The Pope, blessing the faithful. (Symbol for 30 Sagittarius from Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala)
The Moon is at 14Gem05 (in my 9th house). Lunar mansion (according to Ibn 'Arabi): 7, The Throne, letter Qā, The All-Encompassing (Al-Muḥīṭ)
Lunar phase: Gibbous - Overcoming (phase names and keywords from Dane Rudhyar, The Lunation Cycle)
About an hour before sabah, my progressed Sun (in my 4th house) entered into a semi-sextile with my natal Saturn (in my 5th house). In about an hour and ten minutes, the Moon will cross my Midheaven (thereby entering my 10th house). About an hour after akšam, the Sun will enter Capricorn (in my 4th house).
I have been away from writing here for a long time. I came close to doing so a few weeks ago, but I only got as far as reviewing a past entry.
My partner and I had the 33rd anniversary of our first date yesterday. We went out to the only "special" restaurant in the area in order to celebrate.
The semester has come to an end. I feel that I worked too hard and accomplished too little. I did, however, give a recital that was reasonably well received. I also performed it at a different university by invitation. I wrote a successful grant proposal to record the repertoire, and am now getting back to practicing after some time away from the piano.
Overall, I'm unhappy in my situation at the university and I don't think that is going to change significantly. I'm now in the phase of looking at things as they have been, giving up "heroic" resolutions to turn things around in a way that is more positive for me, and focusing instead on pacing myself for the final stretch (which may extend some ten years, but that's still shorter than the sixteen years I've already spent there).
If I manage to get back to writing regularly, I'm sure more thoughts will come up.
